Chinese tea is famous all over the world. This delicious concoction prepared from the best tea leaves in the world, leaves you yearning for more. The Flagstaff House also showcases Hong Kong's colonial architecture. The history of tea can be traced in this museum which showcases many exhibits pertaining to the ritual of tea drinking in every Chinese household.

The history of the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea can be traced back to 1840. It was initially used as the office and residence of the Commander of the museum. It was converted to the Museum of Tea Ware in 1984, with a new wing, The K.S. Lo Gallery, added in 1995. Alongside its exhibitions, the Museum holds regular demonstrations, tea gatherings and lecture programs to promote ceramic art and Chinese tea drinking culture.

Admission is free. You will also find an exquisite collection of tea ware like the Yixing tea pot and other ceramic ware related to tea.
