Hong Kong Arts Festival

It is one of the leading cultural events of Hong Kong. Famous artists of International stature participate in it. Local artists too get an opportunity to showcase their talent.

This extravaganza of music, dance, theater and other performing arts captivates its audience completely. This festival is held annually from February to March.

Its goal is to present an annual International festival of the highest standards. The festival also strives to encourage exchange of ideas between various artists fostering creativity. It is a boon for art lovers and gives them an opportunity to view some of the finest and most original paintings.

Its history can be traced back to 1972, when a group of artists decided to organize an arts festival. Together, they formed the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society Limited, a non- profit- making institution, which launched the first Hong Kong Arts Festival in 1973. Since then the festival has come a long way. It has grown in stature and catapulted to fame.

The Festival provides a broad spectrum of programs, ranging from classical fare to other innovative and stimulating art forms.
