China is renowned for its jade. It is one of the most fascinating stones in the world. This greenish stone is revered in China and is of great spiritual significance.

As the name suggests, this is a market for jade lovers. The market is located just west of Nathan Road on the junction of Kansu and Battery Streets.

Bargain hunters can enjoy themselves haggling over the price. But be sure to gather information on the stone and verify if it is genuine before you click a deal. This place is also notorious for selling spurious stuff.

Jade here is available in every form About 450 registered stall- owners sell amulets, ornaments, necklaces and trinkets made from the revered green stone. Tourists can also pick up an inexpensive memento here.

They are sculpted from large blocks of the raw material to tiny, ornately carved chips. Unless one is an expert on jade, it is better to take along a HKTA information leaflet on jade.

Hours: 10a- 5p M- Su.

I’ve always been fascinated with Jade. This is the reason why I did not pass up the opportunity to visit the Jade Market when I was in hongkong. They’ve got the best jade designs at a very reasonable price. I actually bought plenty to take home. nofollow
