Aberdeen Country Park

This serene refuge far from the maddening crowd provides you an escape from city life. It is a place where you can get fresh air and exercise. It has something for everyone.

Along the park's trial are simple exercise units where you can warm up. If you want to frolic in the lap of nature there are picnic areas in its premises. You can also enjoy hiking. Other facilities include the visitors' centre displaying botanical and insect specimens, and an education trail introducing the different plants in the park.

The park sprawls over a massive 410 acres and embraces southern uplands and valleys within its fold. This sylvan park soothes the senses. It offers you picture postcard scenes of great natural beauty. Dubbed as Hong Kong's back garden, it is a favorite haunt of morning walkers.

It boasts of nature trail, tree walk, fitness trail, Tai Chi terrace, a hiking trail, picnic area for the physically disabled, barbecue area, children's play facilities and visitor information centre. It is the favorite destination of school children who have a whale of a time playing in its premises.

Hours: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm daily except Tuesday.
