Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau public Golf Course

Affectionately known as Kau Sai Chau, this is one of the best golf clubs in Hong Kong. The club has bagged the "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary". No other golf club has received this honor.

Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course is situated on Kau Sai Chau, south of Sai Kung in Hong Kong. It is the only golf course that can be played by non- members of the Jockey Club. This course is a feast to the eye. It overlooks the new territories smaller islands. It is surrounded by wild forest hills which is replete with wild life. Wild pigs and venomous snakes reside in it. A few stray golf balls also find their way into the course.

The course boasts of thirty- six holes divided up into a north and south course each hole was designed by Gary Player.Ferry service runs between Sai Kung and Kau Sai Chau every hour. The journey takes about 15 minutes each way.

No advance booking is required to play in the course. It is two stories high. At night you can play golf under floodlights. It also has a tee up machine and a shock absorbing tee mat. It is also easy to spot the ball at a distance.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays: 7a.m – 8p.m, Tuesdays: 11a.m- 8 p.m, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 7a.m – 10 p.m.
